Tango Rules at a Glance
Tango is a binary logic puzzle played on a 6×6 grid. Your goal is to fill every cell with either a sun or a moon so that all four rules are satisfied at once. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you never need to guess.

Speed Up Your Solve
Three techniques carry most of your speed. Work the = and × clues first — they are the only free information on the board and turn one known cell into two. Then hunt for any row or column that already holds three of one symbol, because every remaining cell in that line is forced. Finally, learn the sandwich: two cells with one gap between them holding the same symbol force the opposite symbol into the middle.

About Tango Puzzles
Tango is a free online logic puzzle game from the binary determination family - also known as Takuzu or Binairo - and it reached a wide audience as one of LinkedIn's daily puzzles, alongside Queens. The official Tango game hands you a single puzzle per day and asks you to sign in first. This site does the opposite: it generates unlimited Tango puzzles on demand, so you can play Tango online as many rounds as you like - free, on any device, with no account.
Tango Unlimited - a tango game unlimited by the daily cap: the same rules you already know, minus the once-a-day limit. Every board is freshly generated and verified to have exactly one solution, so no two sessions play the same.
Choose Easy if you want every step to be reachable with the basic techniques, or Medium for a balanced challenge. Hard works differently: every hard board is screened by a second solver that tries to crack it using only the obvious moves — counting to three, breaking up pairs, following a clue to its neighbour. If those alone are enough to finish the grid, the board is thrown out. What you get is boards where the easy moves genuinely run out and you have to chain constraints across the grid. Your solve time is tracked so you can race your own record.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you play the Tango puzzle?
Fill every cell of the 6×6 grid with a sun or a moon. Each row and column needs exactly 3 of each, no more than 2 identical symbols can touch, = cells must match and × cells must differ. Pure logic gets you to the single solution.
Is this Tango puzzle game free?
Yes - unlimited puzzles, completely free, no signup, no download, no daily limit.
How is this different from LinkedIn's Tango?
LinkedIn offers one official puzzle per day behind a login. Here you get unlimited freshly generated puzzles at three difficulty levels, playable instantly by anyone. This is an independent fan-made game, not affiliated with LinkedIn.
What is the best strategy to solve Tango puzzles fast?
Work the =/× clues first, then fill rows and columns that already show 3 of one symbol. See our full strategy guide for all 7 techniques.
Does every Tango puzzle have a unique solution?
Yes. Our generator runs a solver on every board and only serves puzzles with exactly one solution, so logic alone is always enough.
Can I play Tango on my phone?
Yes. The board and controls resize for phones and tablets, so you can play the same unlimited puzzles in any mobile browser without installing an app.
Does the site save my progress?
No - each puzzle is generated fresh, so closing the tab or reloading starts a new board. That also means you can always jump straight into a brand new puzzle instantly.
